Well that’s a wrap for our 2018 Grape Harvest! Jam is in the jar and grapes are on their way to make the magical transformation into Vino. Fortunately we had a long list of friends and wine enthusiasts that joined us to pick their fill of grapes to use for jam and wine making. 1500 pounds of grapes were harvested this year, with a significant improvement in quality from last year’s bunch. This just adds to our excitement that the vines will continue that improvement into next year’s growing season! Our friends who will be using grapes to make their own wine told us not to get too antsy as it will be around 18 months before we get to taste their wine creations. But isn’t the old adage “good things are worth waiting for.” Plan a visit down the road and we will save a glass or two for you. And in the mean time the vines are still green and we are so close to fall that we can taste it! This is the perfect time to plan a Fall getaway to the Vineyard B&B to enjoy cooler fall weather along with some homemade and homegrown jam with your breakfast! Check out the photos below to see our escapades of harvesting and jam making. Put it on your calendar now to join us next time.
